With movie halls now open at full capacity in Karnataka, there are interesting relesases every week.
Movie halls reopened with full capacity on October 1 in Karnataka, which is what most film teams were waiting for to be able to make financially viable release plans for their movies. With quite a few Kannada films ready for release and many more joining that list day-by-day, starting October, audiences will be in for treats every weekend. While several have already announced release dates, more are expected in the days to come, what with the festive season round the corner.

Kaage Motte
Cast: Guru Raj Jaggesh, Sharath Lohithashwa
One of two films to release on the first day of theatres reopening at full capacity is Kaage Motte, which has Jaggesh’s son Guru Raj in the lead. An underworld tale about three friends setting out to dethrone Bengaluru’s mafia king, the film is currently playing in movie halls.
Mohandas
Cast: Anant Mahadevan, Shruthi
Veteran filmmaker P Sheshadri’s Gandhi Jayanti special is his film about a young Gandhi and his reaction to mistakes he has committed. The film, which explores the flawed side of the young Mohandas, is inspired by events from the Mahatma’s book, My Experiments with Truth.

Ninna Sanihake
Cast: Suraj Gowda, Dhanya Ramkumar
Actor Suraj Gowda’s directorial debut, this film is an urban love story revolving around a live-in relationship. It introduces Dhanya Ramkumar, the granddaughter of legendary actor Dr Rajkumar and daughter of veteran actor Ramkumar to Kannada audiences.

Kotigobba 3
Cast: Sudeep, P Ravi Shankar, Madonna Sebastian
The sequel to Kotigobba 3, the film has been written by Sudeep and directed Shiva Karthik. While the film will be a clash between the characters played by Sudeep and P Ravi Shankar, it also introduces Mollywood import Madonna Sebastian to Sandalwood.
Salaga
Cast: Duniya Vijay, Sanjana Anand
In his directorial debut, Duniya Vijay returns to one of his favourite subjects – the underworld – to present his interpretation of things. While Salaga is touted to be action-packed, it also has a love story at its crux, pairing Vijay with Sanjana Anand.

Premam Poojyam
Cast: Nenapirali Prem, Brinda Acharya, Aindrita Ray
Actor Prem’s milestone 25th film, the official synopsis of which reads, ‘A tragic tale of bitter sweet love’, also stars Brinda Acharya and Aindrita Ray. Directed by Dr Raghavendra, the film will see the actor in as many as nine different shades.
Bhajarangi 2
Cast: Shivarajkumar, Bhavana, Saurav Lokesh
The sequel to the 2013 hit Bhajarangi this film brings back the hit A Harsha-Shivarajkumar combination. The filmmaker has been tight-lipped about the direction of the narrative this time around, but rest assured it will be action-packed. Bhavana will be seen as the female lead in the film.
