Prabhas, currently awaiting the release of Radhe Shyam, has already completed shooting for Adipurush and Prashanth Neel's Salaar
There may have been many actors who've enjoyed a good following in multiple industries in the past, but it took Prabhas' box office stamina and his crowd-pulling ability to be labelled the first pan-Indian star of this generation. Anything in the name of Prabhas sells in the market and the actor has made several interesting choices in terms of his projects to consolidate his stardom. While Prabhas' next release is the period romance Radhe Shyam, he has a terrific lineup of projects, from Adi Purush to Project K to Salaar and Spirit.
In an interview with Pink Villa earlier today, leading producer Bhushan Kumar, who's associated with Adipurush and Spirit, shared his insight into Prabhas' pan-Indian stardom. Bhushan Kumar said he's working with Prabhas because the latter is a pan India actor and he too, as a producer, wants to do films that break language barriers. Despite Saaho not performing as expected at the box office, its business was on par with hit Hindi films, he told.
Bhushan Kumar opined that a film like Adipurush was tailor-made for Prabhas, adding he did a fabulous job as Lord Ram in it. He calls it the most awaited film among the lineup of projects under his banner. Reportedly, they're planning its theatrical release in 2022. He states that Adipurush would be a visual treat for audiences, beyond the fact that it's an epic that we hold close to our hearts.
Elaborating on Prabhas' collaboration with Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Bhushan believes that the latter has a good understanding of North Indian sensibilities and promises a great film. Interestingly, Spirit will be the first time that Prabhas will be playing a cop. Spirit is the 25th film in the star's career. The film's shoot is expected to commence in 2023, after Sandeep Reddy Vanga wraps up Animal with Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from Adipurush and Spirit, Prabhas will be seen in Prashanth Neel's Salaar and Nag Ashwin's Project K.
