Gadar 2 is close to beating Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan at the Box Office to become the highest grossing movie of the year
Sunny Deol has finally responded on whether he took back Rs. 50 crores from his film, Gadar 2. The actor also revealed whether he got a hike in fee after the Anil Sharma directorial became a huge hit. The movie has grossed over Rs. 500 crores at the Box Office. Sunny spoke about the hike in fees and more during his interaction with Rajat Sharma on Aap Ki Adalat.
What did Sunny say?
Sunny, who is among one of the producers on Gadar 2, said that it was the call of a producer on the film (here, Gadar 2) to decide how much would an actor earn. After clearing the air on whether he demanded Rs. 50 crores for the film, the actor went on to share if he also asked for a hike after Gadar 2 became the highest grossing film of the year. “He will decide how much he can pay. I will not say, I’ll do or not do. I do not work like this. I like to be in projects where I am not a burden,” he shared.
How much has Gadar 2 earned so far?
The latest Box Office collections of Gadar 2 suggest that the movie has earned a massive Rs. 511 crores. The movie is close to beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan to become the highest grossing film of the year. Pathaan had earned Rs. 512 crores at the Box Office. SRK’s latest release Jawan is currently giving competition to Gadar 2.
Gadar 3 in the making
Sunny Deol did confirm that Gadar 3 is in the making. He was scared for Gadar 2 but is ready to work on Gadar 3 soon enough. The actor was sure that Gadar 2 will either not click or earn its due respect. The latter eventually happened. Now, Sunny feels that many of his movies could be turned into a sequel too. These include Border, Ghayal and Arjun.
