Freedom At Midnight first look - Chirag Vohra stars as Mahatma Gandhi; check out the photos of star cast

Freedom At Midnight's makers have unveiled the first look of the web series' star cast. Nikkhil Advani will serve as the showrunner and director of the show.

Nikkhil Advani's new series, Freedom At Midnight, was announced in January 2024. The shoot of the series commenced earlier this year and now it seems the makers are ready to release it on SonyLIV. The streaming platform dropped the first look of the primary star cast of Freedom At Midnight. In this show, Chirag Vohra will essay on the role of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi). Sidhant Gupta will be seen as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Rajendra Chawla will play Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Freedom At Midnight star cast revealed!

SonyLIV shared the first look photos of Freedom At Midnight's cast on Instagram. While sharing the same on the gram, the makers wrote, "Freedom At Midnight is the electrifying story of India's struggle for independence. Based on the bestselling book of the same name, this series will recount, with depth and authenticity, the socio-economic dynamics, personalities and events including the partition of India that led to India’s independence (sic)."

As per Variety, Nikkhil Advani said Freedom At Midnight has been a result of unwavering dedication and determination, sparked by a simple conversation with Danish Khan about the iconic book, 'Freedom At Midnight'. The filmmaker mentioned that their commitment to authenticity has been unwavering throughout the show's journey.

Nikkhil Advani on collaboration with Danish Khan after Rocket Boys

Meanwhile, Nikkhil further spoke about his reunion with Danish Khan after their successful collaboration on Rocket Boys for the OTT platform. More than collaboration, Advani feels he and Danish are more like friends now. He added Khan is almost like the creator of his upcoming series, Freedom At Midnight.
