The makers of Freedom At Midnight are all geared up for the show. Earlier, the makers roped in five international actors to their cast, including Luke McGibney, Andrew Cullum, Richard Teverson, Alistair Finlay, and Cordelia Bugeja. And now, the recent update reveals that the makers have now roped in actors for the roles of Pakistan Leader Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Sister Fatima.
The show, which is based on the 1975 non-fiction book by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre casts Arif Zakaria as Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Ira Dubey as sister Fatima. The makers shared the casting on their social media accounts by revealing their looks from the show.

Taking to their official social media account, SonyLIV shared Arif Zakaria and Ira Dubey's first look and wrote: "“If I’d only known all this at the time, the course of history would have been different. I would have delayed the granting of independence for several months. There would have been no partition.” Lord Mountbatten’s discussion with Dominique Lapierre on Jinnah’s tuberculosis. Freedom At Midnight is based on Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collin's book of the same name. The book takes us to the events of 1947-1948, which was the final year of the British Raj and the starting of the installation of Lord Mountbatten of Burma as the final victory of British India.
While announcing the show, Nikkhil Advani shared the first looks of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He wrote: “Jawahar and Sardar will be like two oxen yoked to the government cart. The show, which is co-produced by Advani's Emmay Entertainment and StudioNext is penned by Abhinandan Gupta, Gundeeo Kaur, Divya Nidhi Sharma, Adwitiya Kareng Das, Ethan Taylor, and Revanta Sarabhai. It is directed by Nikkhil Advani.
