It was announced a couple of days ago that the first look of bilingual project, Flashback will be revealed soon. Arun Vijay and GV Prakash unveiled the same from their respective Twitter handles and wished the team great success. The movie stars Prabhu Deva, Regina Cassandra and Tollywood actress Anasuya Baradwaj.

The first look posters have Prabhu sporting a nerdy look, Regina in an Anglo-Indian appearance and Anasuya in a traditional attire. Tipped as a coming-of-age story, the film has music by Sam CS, cinematography by S Yuva and editing by San Lokesh. Produced by Ramesh P Pillai under the banner of Abhishek Films, Flashback has dance choreography by Bobby Antony.

Prabhu Deva, who was seen playing an upright cop in his recent outing, Pon Manickavel essays the role of a teacher in the movie, the story of which is set in Chennai and Kodaikkanal. Regina is an Anglo Indian teacher while Anasuya makes her debut with the project. She was in the news recently when she started dubbing for the film.

According to a report in TOI, the makers of Flashback have tried to talk about the aspect of lust in the story. They believe that this is the first movie in Tamil to depict the same after the late filmmaker Balu Mahendra’s Azhiyatha Kolangal.

The film's plot revolves around the protagonist's infatuation with an older woman. The makers say that the topic has been handled in a sensitive manner. The movie, they believe, will make the audience take a trip down memory lane of their teenage period.

Directed by Don Sandy of Jiiva-starrer Gorilla (streaming on Zee5) fame, the film has Nandu Turlapati writing dialogues for its Telugu version.
