The film comprises five different stories helmed by five different actors with well-known actors like Kishore, Prakash Belawadi, P. Ravishankar, and others as part of the cast.
Producer and Director Guru Deshpande announced a while ago that he is bringing five filmmakers (including himself) together for an intriguing anthology project titled Pentagon. As the title suggests, the film would comprise five different stories with each segment boasting a different director at the helm and an enterprising star cast that includes many noteworthy names like Pruthvi Ambaar, Kantara actor Kishore, Prakash Belawadi, and others.
The team took to social media a short while ago to announce that the maiden teaser of Pentagon will be out on January 18th, 2023. Guru Deshpande & Co. had previously released the 3-D poster of the film with Real Star Upendra launching it online.
The latest poster of Pentagon features Kishore and Pruthvi Ambaar, who play the main leads in Guru Deshpande's segment. Although the storyline of this particular segment is kept under wraps, one could surmise that the Kantara actor will essay the role of a Kannada activist in the film with Pruthvi Ambaar's character too, seemingly, being equally important.
Guru Deshpande, who also produces the film under the G Cinemas banner, is joined by Raghu Shivamogga, Akash Srivatsa (of Shivaji Surathkal fame), Chandra Mohan (Double Engine), and Kiran Kumar on the panel of directors. Reportedly, the Pentagon idea was put together during the first coronavirus lockdown in 2020 with the theme of the film centred on death and its consequences. Although each story is said to be connected to a book, the makers have revealed that each of the five stories falls under a different genre.
Raghu Shivamogga's segment will be a suspense thriller, claim reports, with Prakash Belawadi, Prerana Kambam, Sagar Gowda, and others as part of the cast. Chandramohan's segment, on the other hand, has Pramod Shetty in the lead with Apoorva and others playing crucial roles. Pentagon is expected to release soon in theatres.
