First song of Mohanlal-Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malaikottai Valiban is out

The first song of Malaikottai Valiban, ‘Punnara Kattile Poovanatthil’, has been released by the makers. Shreekumar Vakkiyil and Abhaya Hiranmayi have sung the song composed by Prashant Pillai. The lyrics have been penned by P S Rafeeque, who has also done the initial composition.

After being released on YouTube, the song has received over 54,000 views within half an hour. Punnara Kattile Poovanatthil revives the delightful love that once united two young hearts. The song also shows a glimpse of Mohanlal’s character by the end.

Fans of the actor are swarming social media with comments, anticipating that the movie will break Mohanlal's box office records and expressing excitement about his appearance at the song's conclusion.

Highly anticipated Malayalam film in 2024

Malaikottai Valiban, which is expected to give Mohanlal a hit after a while, is among the highly anticipated films in 2024. The actor will be seen playing the role of a nomadic wrestler in this film, which is set in pre-independence period.

Malaikottai Valiban, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, is set to hit theatres on January 25. The period action film is bankrolled by John & Mary Creative, along with Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments, Yoodlee Films, Century Films and Amen Movie Monastery. Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer of the film, which was shot in Pondicherry, Chennai, and Rajasthan.

Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Katha Nandi, Danish Sait, Manoj Moses, and Manikandan Achari will also play lead roles in this film, which is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada simultaneously.

The teaser of the film that was out on December 6 had received mixed reviews from netizens as it did not reveal much about the film except for a look at Mohanlal’s character.

According to sources, the film will also see the actor playing a double role.
