We had earlier reported that Garudan, the upcoming film starring Soori, Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan, has entered the post-production phase with the dubbing . The makers of the film recently dropped the first single titled Panjavarna Kiliye.
The song is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with lyrics penned by Snekan. Dinesh Master has choreographed the song. Besides composing, Yuvan has also doubled up as singer.
The song video focusses on Soori and Revathy Sharma's character. It shows montages of the romance brewing between the duo. The nearly three-minute song is a compilation of various tender moments shared by the pair, as he tries to court her.
Besides Soori, Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan and Revathy, Garudan also stars a slew of known faces including Sshivada, Roshini Haripriyan, Samuthrakani, Mime Gopi, RV Udayakumar, Vadivukarasi, Dushyanth, Motta Rajendran, Bragida, among others. The makers had recently released a glimpse of the film , which showed how Soori’s character is told to be more loyal than dogs, to his masters played by Unni Mukundan and Sasikumar.
The film is directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, with the story penned by ace director Vetri Maaran. Garudan has cinematography by Arthur A Wilson. Isc and editing handled by Pradeep E Ragav. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Soori who acted in many uncredited roles before he shot to fame for his comedy in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. While he went on to play a lot of sidekick and comedian roles, the actor took up to play his first leading role with Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai-Part 1. He played the role of a rookie cop recruited to take down a people movement's leader.
Soori will also be seen in director Ram's Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai in a significant role. He also has the second part of Viduthalai coming up. Both the films were screened at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam recently. The actor also has a film with PS Vinothraj, titled Kottukkaali, co-starring Anna Ben.
