Jailer movie review: This Rajinikanth movie is an enjoyable and pure fan service
This spiritual retreat to the Himalayas has become an annual ritual for Rajinikanth, who leaves behind his superstar status to immerse himself in simplicity. It seems these trips help him to stay grounded and strong in the face of challenges and overwhelming adulation. During these trips, Rajinikanth renounces worldly pleasures to live with austerity in search of inner peace.
However, he was not able to go on such spiritual retreats for over four years owing to his health problems and the Covid outbreak. Following a kidney transplant a few years ago, he required immune-suppressant medication, making him very vulnerable to the new virus at the time. As his health in a good shape, Rajinikanth resumed his spiritual journey.
Just a day before the release of his much-awaited movie Jailer, Rajinikanth took off to the Himalayas. It's unclear when Rajinikanth will return to Chennai.
