First photos of Ram Charan and Upasana with their baby have surfaced on social media.
Telugu superstar Ram Charan and his wife Upasana along with their newborn on Friday made their first media appearance. The couple walked out of the hospital as Charan was holding that baby. However, the couple refrained from showing the baby's face to the media. The couple, however, posed for pictures as they held the baby comfortably wrapped in a blanket
Following the photo-op, Charan addressed the media to express his gratitude for his fans and well-wishers. "I cannot forget all the prayers and wishes that I received from my fans from around the world. I cannot ask for anything more from them. Your blessings will always be there with my daughter," he said.
Earlier this week, Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed their first baby . Talking to the media outside the hospital on Friday, he also didn't reveal the name that the family has decided for the baby. "As per our tradition, I will tell everyone my daughter's name on her 21st day," he said.
When asked about the baby's resemblance to either parent, Charan humorously remarked, "She definitely looks like me."
Earlier, Upasana opened up about their decision to become parents on their own terms instead of rushing into it to live up to the expectations of others. The couple tied the knot in June 2014.
"It was our mutual decision. As a couple, we didn't let pressure hit us, whether it is from society, our family, or outsiders. Which says a lot about our relationship and how we are going to bring up our child as well," she told Humans of Bombay earlier.
"I am very, very excited and also very proud that I chose to become a mother when we wanted to, not when society wanted to. So, ten years after our marriage, we have taken a call to have a kid now and I think it’s the best time because both of us are booming, both of us are financially secure and we can take care of our kids by ourselves," she added.
On the career front, Charan is now busy shooting for his upcoming movie Game Changer, which marks his maiden collaboration with director Shankar. The movie has been in the making for some time now and is expected to arrive in cinemas early next year.
