First lyrical music video of Vishal’s Rathnam to be out on THIS date; here’s all about the action film

The first lyrical music video of director Hari’s upcoming film Rathnam will be released by the makers at 7 am on January 1. Vishal is playing the lead role in the film, which is bankrolled by Alankar Pandian and Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banner of Stone Bench Films, Invenio Origin, and Zee Studios.
Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the songs, written by Viveka. Hari has worked with DSP in a number of films, including Aaru, Singam, Singam 2, Venghai, and Saami 2. Notably, it will be Hari and Vishal's third joint project, following Thamirabharani (2007) and Poojai (2014).

The movie will also feature Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Murali Sharma, and Gautham Menon in lead roles. The screenplay has been penned by the director himself.
M Sukumar is handling the film’s camera work, while T S Jay is the editor. The release of Rathnam is slated for the summer of 2024. The movie was shot in Kimarasakkanapuram in Thoothukudi, and Chennai.
Vishal received huge praise for his performance in Adhik Ravichandran's science fiction action-comedy film, Mark Antony, this year. This movie is available on Amazon Prime Video. The actor is also expected to reprise his character, Kaniyan Poongundran, in the sequel to Thupparivaalan, directed by Mysskin. The investigative thriller is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

First look of Rathnam
Earlier this month, first look of Vishal's character from the movie was released. With a corpse's head in one hand and a billhook machete in the other, the poster depicts Vishal as a ruthless and violent person. The actor shared the first poster for this action film on social media, referring to it as his 34th project. “Happy to share THE FIRST LOOK of #RATHNAM unleashing the combo with hari sir for the third time. The action begins, and looking forward to summer 2024 release,” he wrote. The teaser of Rathnam revealing its title was out on December 1.
