First-look poster of Ashokselvan's Vezham out

The first-look poster from Ashokselvan's Vezham was released today. The film is a romantic thriller, starring Ashokselvan, Janani Iyer and Iswarya Menon and is helmed by debutant by Sandeep Shyam. Arya, who shared the poster from the film, wrote on his social media page, "Raw & absolutely striking 🔥 Thrilled to see @AshokSelvan in this look! Best wishes to #VEZHAM team. Ashokselvan thanked both and wrote on his social media page, "Thank you dearest @iamharishkalyan brother! :) ❤️ #Vezham first look is here! Teaming up with @jananihere again and @Ishmenon . Wish us luck! Jammmmy! Thank you so much ❤️ 😄 #Vezham (sic)." In the first-look poster, Ashokselvan is seen in an intense look holding a gun. Janani Iyer and Ashokselvan had earlier teamed up for Thegidi. Janani signed the film soon after she came out of the second season of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. Ishwarya plays a woman who has returned to India from abroad. The film is touted to be a murder mystery.

Vezham means elephant in Tamil. The makers have chosen the title as they say that the characters portray the qualities of an elephant. Ashokselvan's character will have two shades in the film and the stories too are set in two different timelines. Janani Iyer plays a writer and a strong independent woman. The rest of the star cast includes Sangili Murugan, PL Thenappan, Kitty and Shyam Sundar. Music for the film is by debutant Jhanu Chanthar. Cinematography is by Shakthi Arvind, a former associate of George C Williams.
