Non Violence is set in the 90s Madurai, with the narrative unfolding in a prison during that era.
We had earlier reported that actors Metro Shirish, Bobby Simha, and Yogi Babu will be headlining a film titled Non Violence. The makers on Wednesday shared the first look poster of the film on social media. A release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
Non Violence is directed by filmmaker Ananda Krishnan who previously helmed films like Metro and Kodiyil Oruvan. The upcoming film stars Metro Shirish, Bobby Simha, and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. The first look was launched on Wednesday.
The first look poster shows the main characters of the film with each of them sporting an intense look, while some of them are wielding weapons. They are placed in a circular fashion. The upcoming film marks the director's reunion with Metro Shirish and Bobby Simha, both of whom starred in Metro.

As per the makers, the film's narrative unfolds in the city of Madurai and will be a period drama set against the backdrop of 90s. The screenplay will primarily revolve around the events occurring within Madurai prison during that era. The film, given that the narrative takes place in the 1990s, the production crew has dedicated significant resources to authentically recreate that era on screen.
Apart from Metro Shirish, Bobby Simha, and Yogi Babu, Non Violence also stars Aditi Balan, Garuda Ram, Aditya Kathir and many others in the pivotal characters. The shooting of the film is in its final stages of production and nearing completion. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers, but is expected to hit theatres in 2024. It will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.

The technical crew consists of cinematographer NS Uthayakumar and editor Srikanth NB. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the film. Non Violence is produced by Leka.
