First look and title of Article 15's Tamil remake to be unveiled on October 16

First look and title of Article 15's Tamil remake to be unveiled on October 16

It was announced more than a year ago that Arunraja Kamaraj is directing the Tamil remake of Article 15 which has Udhayanidhi Stalin essaying the role Ayushmann Khurranna played in the Hindi version. Tanya Ravichandran has been roped in to play the female lead; the role played by Isha Talwar in the original version. Boney Kapoor, who has produced the Tamil remake of Pink two years ago, is bankrolling the untitled movie under Zee Studios and Bayview Projects.

The makers have now announced that the title and first look of the project will be revealed on October 16 at 12pm. Boney took to Twitter to post, "Happy to announce the Title and Launch of Motion Poster of our film with @Udhaystalin @Arunrajakamaraj Directorial on 16/10/21 at 12 noon." Arunraja, on the other hand, took to his social media account to say that he is proud to have worked with Udhay and Boney for the project.

Shot in Pollachi and Chennai, the film has Aari, too, essaying a crucial role. The actor earned a huge fan base following his stint with the fourth season of Bigg Boss Tamil. Apart from this project, Boney is also producing Ajith-starrer Valimai which is set for a release on Pongal 2022. Udhayanidhi has Kannai Nambathey and Angel in his kitty. He also has an untitled movie with Magizh Thirumeni in which Nidhi Agerwal plays the female lead.

Article 15 directed by Anubhav Sinha, was a critically and commercially successful movie, which had Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sayani Gupta and Mohammed Zeeshan essaying crucial roles in it. Written by Gaurav Solanki along with Anubhav, the hard-hitting movie was produced by the filmmaker himself. The 2019 film is currently streaming on Netflix.
