FIR: Vishnu Vishal says he was able to relate to Irfan’s character in the thriller

Vishnu Vishal’s action thriller FIR is hitting theaters today, and movie fans will be flocking to the cinema to see what the movie has to offer. The actor has now opened up about his character from the movie.

Talking in an interview as reported by Times of India, the actor said, ““My best friend Syed Mohammed went through a lot because he is Syed. The director, too, had read about similar incidents, and even witnessed a few of them. Irfan will be branded for something that he didn’t do.”

The actor continues, saying that he was able to relate to the character because being a police officer’s son, he has seen people go through such situations and that at some level, he was able to connect to the character.

The movie will see Vishnu play the role of Irfan Ahmed, a Muslim who gets into trouble because of his religion.

The movie was also in the news ahead of its release today, after Malaysia, Qatar and Kuwait banned its release. The movie follows a young man who is accused of having connection with an international terror outfit, and a team of National Security Agency who monitor terrorist activites.

The actor, who has failed to produce a big hit movie since the release of the thriller Ratsasan in 2018, said that FIR gave him the necessary boost to come out of what he was going through.

Written and directed by Manu Anand, the movie is also backed by Vishnu under the banner of Vishnu Vishal Studioz. FIR also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Manjima Mohan, Reba Monica John, Raiza Wilson, Gaurav Narayanan and Prashanth Rangaswamy in important roles.
