S Shivakar's Fingertip, a crime drama, had a direct OTT release in 2019. The series, which had a screenplay by Neelan K Sekar, featured Prasanna, Akshara Haasan, Gayathrie, Sunainaa and Ashwin Kakumanu in pivotal roles. The makers had recently hinted at the arrival of its next season.

The first season had five episodes, each of them dealing with varied emotions. Madhusudhan Rao, Sanjana Sarathy, Jeeva Ravi and Uma Padmanabhan played other notable characters in the first instalment of Fingertip.

What's Fingertip 2 about?

The makers had released its trailer a month ago. Its plot revolves around ACP Arivazhagan who goes after a few criminals who have been indulging in many crimes in the city. Prasanna plays the lead this time, too, while there is a complete change in the list of other actors who essay prominent roles in it.

Regina Cassandra, Aparna Balamurali, Kanna Ravi, Vinoth Kishan and Sharath Ravi will be seen playing key characters in the second season. The makers have released a poster of Fingertip 2 which features all these actors sporting intense expressions. Interestingly, none of these actors are new to OTT avenues.

When and where to watch Fingertip 2?

The second instalment of the series will be dropping on Zee5 on June 17. The team is expected to come up with a new set of intriguing promo videos soon. Though it is unlikely that the story of the second season is connected to the first season, movie buffs are looking forward to knowing if there is any continuation to the first instalment.

Regina plays an actress in it while Aparna portrays the role of a digital marketing manager. The cat-and-mouse thriller has social media manipulation as one of its plot elements. How it affects human lives forms the crux of the story.
