The makers of Manjummel Boys have announced that its trailer will release soon, much to the delight of film enthusiasts eagerly waiting for this film. The trailer will be out at 6pm tomorrow (February 8). Fans are also expecting the makers to confirm the theatrical release date of Manjummel Boys with the trailer.
The cast and crew members of the movie took to their social media pages to confirm that Manjummel Boys will hit the big screen in February, putting an end to several speculations over the delay in release. The film will release amidst a number of highly anticipated Malayalam films of 2024, such as Mammootty’s Bramayugam and Tovino Thomas’s Anweshippin Kandethum, this month.
Manjummel Boys centres on eleven young people who agreed to go to Kodaikanal from a place called Manjummel in Ernakulum. The main focus of the movie is their friendship and how this trip changes their lives.
Chidambaram, who made his directorial debut with Balu Varghese and Basil Joseph’s Jan.E.Man, is directing this film. The director himself has written the screenplay for Manjummel Boys. This film features an ensemble cast of young actors such as Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathy, Chandu Salimkumar, Deepak Parambol, and Arun Kurian. Another pivotal role is played by Lal Jr and Khalid Rahman.
In an interview with OTTPlay, director Chidambaram claimed that Manjummel Boys may not be a comedy drama. He mentioned that it is less about humour and more about travel and camaraderie among a group of young men who grew up together. The majority of it was filmed in Tamil Nadu, though some of it was shot in Kochi.
Shyju Khalid has helmed the camera work for the film, and Vivek Harshan is the editor. Sushin Shyam created the soundtracks for the Manjummel Boys. On January 26, the first song, titled Kuthanthram, which featured Vedan and Sushin Shyam, was released.
