We know that Fighter is an action-packed movie helmed by Siddharth Anand. Co-produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, the film features Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles, marking the inaugural chapter of an anticipated aerial action series. Premiering on January 25, the film has soared to great heights, crossing the Rs 200 crore mark in India within just 32 days of its theatrical debut.
According to Sacnilk, Fighter has had an impressive run at the box office during its initial 32 days, amassing an estimated ₹211.11 crore in net earnings in India. The film garnered approximately Rs 140 crore in its debut week, followed by Rs 38.50 crore in the second week, Rs 13.50 crore in the third week, and Rs 6.75 crore in the fourth week. This achievement solidifies the status of the Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan-led project as the first film of 2024 to join the coveted Rs 200 crore club in India.
Further, Hrithik Roshan's epic venture Fighter is inching closer to the remarkable milestone of grossing 350 crore worldwide at the box office. If it achieves this feat, it will surpass eminent filmmaker Karan Johar's highest-grossing film to date, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, released in 2023. Interestingly, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starred Ranveer Singh, the spouse of Deepika Padukone.
Fighter was initially slated for a theatrical premiere on September 30, 2023. However, due to production delays, the release date was pushed back to January 25, 2024, aligning with the Republic Day weekend.
If you missed catching Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's latest film Fighter in cinemas, you'll soon have the chance to watch the thrilling aerial action on OTT. Netflix, the streaming giant, has secured the OTT rights for "Fighter." While the premiere date hasn't been revealed yet, it's anticipated that the film will make its debut on the platform around the time of Holi this year.
Recently, the creators of the movie released a romantic track titled "Bekaar Dil," which was absent from its theatrical edition. This heartfelt song features vocals by Vishal Mishra, Shilpa Rao, Vishal Dadlani, and Shekhar Ravjiani.
