Now, the adrenaline-boosting feature is all set for its international theatrical release and will drop in the United States on December 25, 2023.
Trailer of Ferrari
The film will be competing with the likes of The Color Purple and The Boys in The Boat for a solid Christmas box office. But its trailer, which dropped on October 18 this year, gives viewers no reason to doubt its promising plot premise and quality.
Plot of Ferrari
The plot of Ferrari follows a tumultuous period in the Ferrari founder’s life. Bankruptcy threatens his factory that he built from nothing ten years ago, his difficult marriage with Laura is crumbling after their son Dino’s untimely demise, and he is struggling to accept his son Piero, whom he shares with his long-time mistress Lina Lardi. If all that was not enough, now he must ensure victory at the prestigious open-road endurance race, the Mille Miglia.
The real story behind its discontinuation is also going to be explored in the film, which happened in 1957. The heartbreaking incident occurred when Ferrari driver Alfonso de Portago blew a tire and rammed into the crowd. The accident killed nine people, with five of them being children. Navigator Edmund Nelson and Portago himself also died in the crash.
Cast of Ferrari
Ferrari not only sports a solid story, but also a stellar cast, with Adam Driver portraying Enzo Ferrari, Penelope Cruz essaying his wife Laura, Shailene Woodley playing his mistress Lina Lardi, Gabriel Leone becoming Ferrari driver Alfonso de Portago, and Patrick Dempsey being the Italian racer Piero Taruffi.
