Fatima Vijay Antony says she is drowning in the thoughts of her daughter, Meera

It's been almost a month since music composer Vijay Antony's elder daughter Meera passed away. 16-year-old Meera died by suicide on September 19. The teenager is said to have been battling depression.

Fatima Vijay Antony's moving post
In her first ever post after her daughter's demise, Fatima wrote that she cannot live without Meera. Her moving post read, "If I’d known u will live only for 16 yrs,I would have just kept u very very close to me,not even shown you to the sun and moon,am drowning and dying with ur thoughts,can’t live without you ,come back to babba and amma.laara keeps waiting for u,love u Thangam @vijayantony (sic)."

Vijay Antony's statement on her daughter's demise
In a poignant note, the Raththam actor described her daughter as "courageous" and said that she has found solace in a better world. His post read, "My daughter Meera was very affectionate and courageous. She is now in a better place, which is devoid of caste, religious discrimination, money, envy, pain, and malice." The composer stated that he has also promised to turn his sorrow into something positive and work towards making the world a better place, in the name of Meera.

Raththam opens to positive reviews
Meanwhile, Vijay Antony's latest outing Raththam has opened to positive reception. The film revolves around a crime nexus, involving a series of murders that leads to the expulsion of four ministers from the state cabinet. Vijay Antony plays a crime journalist in the film, who tries to uncover the goings-on.

Star cast and crew
The film stars Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha, and Uday Mahesh. Kannan Narayanan has composed the music and lyrics for the songs by Yuga Bharathi, Arivu, Uma Devi, K Chandru . Cinematography is by Gopi Amarnath, and editing is by TS Suresh. Dhilip Subbarayan has helmed the stunt sequences.
