The upcoming biopic is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw
Fatima Sana Shaikh has been in the limelight since she starred in Dangal, which also featured Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. Last year Fatima was seen in the Anurag Basu directorial Ludo and the Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh starrer Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, while the actress was last seen in Netflix’s Ajeeb Daastaans. The actress is now gearing up to star in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming directorial film based on the life of Sam Manekshaw.
According to Pinkvilla, Meghna Gulzar and Ronnie Screwvala were to collaborate for a biopic on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in 2017. However, it took the makers two years to reveal that Vicky Kaushal will star in the forthcoming movie. Meanwhile, earlier this year in April, the Masaan actor shared a motion poster of the film on Instagram and announced that the story of the braveheart will unfold on the screen, on the birth anniversary of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
