Aishwarya Rajesh in Farhana
Aishwarya Rajesh's fourth outing of the year, Farhana, produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, opened to a decent response when it hit the screens in May. The film helmed by Nelson Venkatesan received appreciation for its screenplay despite having minor flaws.
Justin Prabhakaran's effective background score and performances from actors were other aspects that received a thumbs up from the audience. Jithan Ramesh, Anumol, Kitty and Aishwarya Dutta among others essayed notable characters in the project which has Selvaraghavan, too, appearing in a cameo.
The movie revolves around a young woman from a conservative family who joins a call centre. A series of unexpected incidents that happen in her life after she befriends a stranger forms the crux of the plot. The makers announced recently that Farhana will start streaming on SonyLIV on July 7. The platform released videos featuring Aishwarya, Ramesh, Dutta and Nelson requesting the audience to watch the movie on the OTT avenue.
A few who missed the film in theatres have been taking to Twitter to post their reviews on the movie. While some of them have showered praise on its plot and execution apart from the performances of actors, a few others pointed out that the story needed more gripping moments in the second half.
Gokul Benoy and VJ Sabu Joseph have handled cinematography and editing respectively for Farhana. Manushyaputhiran and Shankar Dass have penned dialogues for the film along with director Nelson. SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabu have produced the movie.
