Fardeen Khan wants to remake some of the late Feroz Khan’s films as producer

Fardeen, who recently wrapped up his comeback project Visfot, is looking at the remakes as a tribute to his father

Thought we’ve seen the last of Fardeen Khan? Looks like he’s all set to mark his comeback after 12 long years. The actor has wrapped up work on the horror drama Visfot, the Hindi remake of the Venezuelan film Rock, Paper, Scissor. But that, it would seem, is not his only plan.

The actor recently shared his plans to remake his dad Feroz Khan’s films. “The tricky part is how does one better the original. If I were to attempt a remake, the humble approach would be to not harm the original in the bargain. It will haunt me for the rest of my life if we tamper with the memories of the original films while trying to create a new version (sic.),” said the actor to Times of India.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor said that he quit working in films because he was struggling a lot in his personal life. “That (people’s) perception was not wrong. After my father’s death, I needed some time off (sic.)”

Fardeen Khan, who’s the son of the late actor, film editor, director, and producer Feroz Khan, starred in some decent entertainers including Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001), Om Jai Jagdish (2002), Fida (2004), Hey Baby (2007), and many others. Feroz, appeared in over 60 films throughout his career and became one of Bollywood’s popular style icons.

He also directed and acted in films like Janbaaz (1986), Dayavan (1988), Yalgaar (1992), and many more.

Anyone who followed Bollywood movies in the late 90s and the early 2000s knows that Fardeen was a prominent part of the industry. Fardeen made his Hindi film acting debut in 1998 with Prem Aggan, which was made by Feroz.
