Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore: Warner Bros unveils new poster featuring the grand Hogwarts

The movie will have Jude Law reprising his role as Dumbledore, and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald, who replaces Johnny Depp

It is the season for excitement for Potterheads, as the Harry Potter spin off Fantastic Beasts has announced a third instalment. Titled as The Secrets of Dumbledore the movie’s promising trailer was released a week ago, after which Warner Bros has just dropped an intriguing new poster.

The poster features a grand look of the beloved Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, while a phoenix flies towards it. It is more likely to be Dumbledore’s phoenix, Fawkes, which had significant roles in the Harry Potter movies.

The poster has also revealed a release date for the movie, which is mentioned in the caption of the company’s social media post. “Return to magic: Fantastic Beasts: The Secret of Dumbledore only in theatres April 15, 2020,” it reads.

The movie will have Jude Law reprising his role as Dumbledore, and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald. The latter was previously performed by Johnny Depp, who later parted ways with Warner Bros in November 2020.

In addition, the movie will also feature Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski.

If the reports are to be believed, the movie is set in the ’30s, and explores the Wizarding World’s involvement in World War II. Harry Potter author J K Rowling has scripted the screenplay for the movie along with Steve Kloves, while it is being helmed by David Yates. Yates has helmed the last four Potter films and the first two Fantastic Beasts as well.

Meanwhile, the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts has also been an element of euphoria for the Potterheads, who are eager to witness the reunion of the iconic team. It will premiere on New Year’s Day on Amazon Prime Video for Indian fans.
