Jayam Ravi recently opened up about his choice of movies post Covid. His upcoming project Siren, directed by Antony Bhagyaraj, will be out in cinemas on February 16
Jayam Ravi, who has been seen in several action films lately, is now awaiting the release of his upcoming revenge drama Siren. During a recent promotional interview, the Ponniyin Selvan actor opened up about his choice of movies post Covid and how his upcoming film Brother will revive the ‘old Jayam Ravi’, whom the fans have been waiting to watch. “So, this (Brother) happened 2 years back. At that time, I wasn't sure about the story I had read from Rajesh sir (director M Rajesh). Later he said he will prepare another script that suits me and will present it,” the actor revealed.
The actor went on to explain that he was able to find what was missing in Rajesh’s directorial works with Brother. “When he narrated the new script, I was able to recognise what was missing from his previous works. Rajesh has been known for his comedy films, however, his films are all family driven. Somewhere, he got carried away into comedy, and he was able to bring back the family bond in Brother,” the actor said.
Jayam Ravi also revealed that the family bond in Brother appealed to him the most. “There is a beautiful bond in this movie, which I think will work out. And it's been a long time since I have done such a movie, hence I realised what my fans have been missing out. I have an amazing dance number, something I haven't done since Komali. It's a proper commercial film which everybody would love,” the actor added.

Bhumika Chawla, Saranya Ponvannan, VTV Ganesh, Natty, Seetha, Achyuth and Rao Ramesh play pivotal roles in the film.
Meanwhile, Siren, directed by Antony Bhagyaraj and starring Jayam Ravi, Anupama Parameswaran and Keerthy Suresh, is all set to make its theatrical release on February 16.
The movie revolves around a convict who has been falsely put behind the bars for over 14 years. How he fights back against the ones who wronged him forms the crux of the story.
