Family Star is all set for a massive release on April 5, 2024, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make this film a massive hit at the box office. Parasuram has directed this family drama which has Vijay Deverakonda as the main lead. Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead, and her chemistry with Vijay looks rocking in the promos.
Family Star OTT rights deal
By now, it is a known fact that Netflix has bagged the OTT rights to the film. Well, we at OTTplay have learned that Netflix has paid Rs 16 crore to bag the digital rights. This is the highest ever for a Vijay Deverakonda film and shows what kind of buzz the movie has created within the industry.

Family Star pre-release business details
A few days ago, we at OTTplay also revealed that Family Star's pre-release business has been locked at Rs 45 crore, and the film needs to make at least Rs 37 crore to be in the safe zone. Gopi Sundar has composed the film and all the songs released so far have become good hits. The trailer has also created a solid buzz for the film and the pre-release event will be held soon.
This is the second time that Parsuram is directing Vijay Deverakonda. The duo had teamed up for Geetha Govindam which is the biggest hit in Vijay's career to date. As Vijay himself revealed in an interview that Family Star is Geetha Govindam on steroids, the buzz for the film has gone to the next level.
Family Star is having a perfect summer release and is also a solo release. So, trade experts are expecting big numbers from this film, which also has Vasuki in a key role.
