Family Star event
Family Star is all set to hit the screens on April 5, 2024. The pre-release event happened on a special note in Hyderabad and was attended by Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, and producer Dil Raju. The ace producer spoke at length about the film and stated that Family Star is a family drama that will be loved by every section of the audience.
However, he clearly mentioned that the youth and a few reviewers might find it routine. Dil Raju gave the example of his film Shatamanam Bhavati and said, "When the film was released, many compared it to a TV serial. But Shatamanam Bhavati made great numbers at the box office thanks to the family audience. The same will happen with Family Star and I know for a fact that the film will open to a mixed response."

Dil Raju always keeps his films before his stars and says he believed in the content of Family Star from the day he heard the script. "I loved Vijay Deverakonda's role in the film. He plays a son, lover, and husband, and handles so many issues in Family Star. Everyone is thinking Family Star is an out-and-out family drama. Only 30% of the film is family drama and the rest is a superb romantic comedy," says Dil Raju.
Not many know that Dil Raju is the same producer who rejected Vijay Deverakonda twice early in his career and says Vijay has proved that with hard work stardom can be achieved easily. Adding to this, Vijay also said, "When I was rejected by Dil Raju's production house, I promised myself that I would headline a film in his banner and here I am with Family Star".
Parasuram directed Family Star and Gopi Sundar composed the music. The chemistry between the lead pair and Vijay Deverakonda's new form of aggression in this family drama will be loved by many, says Dil Raju. Netflix has bagged the digital rights to the film.
