Starring Basil Joseph, Jagadish, Manju Pillai, Sandeep Pradeep and Meenaraj Palluruthy, Falimy is directed by Nithish Sahadev
Recently, Malayalam cinema has seen an increase in films that delve into the dynamics of family life, such as Home and Jo and Jo. Falimy, a comedy-drama directed by Nithish Sahadev, is looking to join the ranks of those memorable Malayalam comedies. Now, the makers of the film starring Basil Joseph in the lead role have released a teaser.
Falimy's teaser, plot, cast and crew
The teaser reveals that Basil plays a young man who is eager to get married, while Jagadish plays his irresponsible father. Basil's brother advises him to skip arranged marriage and opt for a live-in relationship, as it is less time consuming and easier. The plot revolves around the family travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Varanasi to find a bride for Basil's character.
From the l teaser, one can see that Family is a travel movie with both comic moments and emotional scenes. Manju Pillai's performance in the teaser reminds us of her character in Home, as a mother who is always complaining about her family and sons. The chemistry between Manju, Jagadish, and Basil in the teaser is quite refreshing to watch. A poster for the film features the characters sitting with some Aghoris with a smile on their faces.
The film also has an ensemble star cast that includes Raina Radhakrishnan, Amith Mohan Rajeshwari, Sandeep Pradeep and Meenaraj Palluruthy.
Cheers Entertainments has bankrolled the film that is scripted by Nitish and Sancho Joseph. Vishnu Vijay, known for Thallumaala and Kasargold, has composed the music of Falimy.
Bablu Aju has cranked the camera, while Nidhin Raj Arol has done the editing. Falimy will hit theatres on November 10 along with Dileep's Bandra.
Basil Joseph's upcoming projects
Basil is set to appear alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, directed by Vipin Das, known for Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Additionally, he will also feature in Varshangalkku Shesham, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, which stars Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Nivin Pauly.

Basil will join hands with director Jeethu Joseph for a comedy-drama, marking their debut collaboration. Furthermore, the actor will also be directing a Bollywood movie starring Ranveer Singh.
