Faisal Khan also opened up about his opinion on the Boycott Bollywood trend.
Faisal Khan recently made headlines when he refused to be a part of the upcoming new season of Bigg Boss. After being away from the limelight for quite some time, Faisal seems to be rolling up his sleeves to take on more silver screen projects, after announcing that he would soon be a part of a TV serial. The actor is the brother of Aamir Khan, and the two have witnessed quite a few ups and downs in their relationship over the years, although the two are reportedly very close now. Faisal recently opened up about what he thought of Aamir’s latest film, Laal Singh Chaddha.
In conversation with ETimes, Faisal said that he had indeed watched the film, although not immediately after its release. The actor revealed that although he had found the film good in parts, he felt that Aamir could have chosen a better script especially since Laal Singh Chaddha marked his comeback to the screen after almost four years. “I liked the film in parts, but not completely”, said Faisal.
He went on to say that he expected a good actor like Aamir to blow people’s minds, and expected him to do good work in his films. “But that didn’t happen with Laal Singh Chaddha, unfortunately. It was not a “wow!” film”, he said.
Regarding the prevailing Boycott Bollywood trend, Faisal thinks that it is a ‘necessary’ movement. Although the industry was suffering at the moment, the actor believes that the movement could bring about change in the industry down the line. He expects that the industry will take a new shape as new people come in, and likened what was happening to a ‘revolt’ .
Faisal said that a lot of people in the industry were corrupt, and that the death of Sushant Singh Rajput had made the ‘evils of Bollywood come to light’. He said that as the world got to know the ‘dirty side’ of Bollywood, the industry was paying the price.
