Is Fahadh Faasil’s character from Vikram part of Thalapathy 67? The Pushpa 2 star shares an interesting update
Fans of Lokesh Kanagaraj Universe, which includes movies such as Karthi’s Kaithi and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, have been eagerly waiting for an update on the director’s next, which is being referred to as Thalapathy 67 and has Vijay in the lead. Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil recently unveiled a few details that are sure to leave the fans excited.
Talking at a press meet ahead of the release of his production Thankam in Kochi, Fahadh was asked if he was part of Thalapathy 67, which also has Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role. “Because it's part of the universe, I might be in it,” said the Joji actor.
But that’s not all, Fahadh also put to rest rumours that he won’t be returning in the sequel of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. The actor confirmed that he will be reprising the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS in the movie, saying that he will be shooting for it this year. He, however, didn’t reveal the scope of his role, explaining that it would be better left to the filmmaker to make those announcements.
Fahadh, meanwhile, has also completed shooting for his next Tamil film titled Maamannan, which also has Keerthy Suresh and Udayanidhi Stalin, and is helmed by Karnan filmmaker Mari Selvaraj. “The shoot is over. The post-production of the film is going on. It will be released in April,” he revealed.
On being asked if he is now more open to doing other-language films and his opinion on pan-Indian reach of his movies, the actor said, “My priority has always been to do films in Malayalam and for them to be noticed widely. I want movies to be more rooted, and I believe the more detailed our stories are, the more it will be discussed.”
Meanwhile, there were also rumours that Fahadh is part of Amal Neerad’s sequel to Mammootty’s Big B titled Bilal. The actor, however, dismissed the reports of him being cast in the movie. “I am not part of the film. I have not been approached,” he said.
