The couple starred in a recent advertisement that has already gone viral
Malayalam stars and real-life couple Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim had a surprise in store for fans on Wednesday. The duo’s latest onscreen collaboration was for an ad, which had them playing a disgruntled couple who get into a tiff soon after they get home.
The advertisement had Nazriya getting into a fight over Fahadh’s habit of not discussing matters while painting her as the villain all the time. An aloof Fahadh, meanwhile, is shown having ice cream and smiling sardonically at Nazriya’s temper.
While the final reveal is awaited, the ad already had a lot of fans excited about the collaboration. Many took to the actors’ social media pages to comment that the ad reminded them of Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days, where the two played a couple who had a hard time adjusting to each other in the beginning.
“Back to the memories of your fight in Bangalore Days,” wrote one user, while another replied with Fahadh’s dialogue from the 2014 superhit that had the Pushpa actor as Das and Nazriya as Divya: “Divya don’t shout, people will hear.” Several other fans too demanded a sequel of Bangalore Days.
Bangalore Days is a special film for the couple as they had met and Nazriya had proposed to Fahadh on the sets of the movie, which also had Dulquer Salmaan and Nivin Pauly. The actors got married the same year, after which Nazriya had taken a brief hiatus.
The actress returned to films with another Anjali Menon directorial Koode, which had Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead. She and Fahadh then teamed up for the second time in Anwar Rasheed’s Trance, which released in 2020. Currently, the actress is reportedly in talks to play the lead in another Anwar Rasheed, Anjali Menon project that could have Pranav Mohanlal in the lead. The team is yet to officially announce the project.
Fahadh, meanwhile, has two upcoming Malayalam movies – Althaf Salim’s Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and Sudheesh Sankar’s Hanuman Gear. The actor has currently wrapped up shooting for Maamannan and is also set to begin shooting for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.
