Fahadh Faasil is set to team up with senior filmmaker Lal Jose, for the third time in his career. The project, which deals with a two-hero-subject, will have two leading men.
Fahadh Faasil is currently on a signing spree and has an exciting list of projects in his kitty. The National Award-winning actor is reportedly planning to reunite with senior filmmaker Lal Jose after a long break, for an upcoming Malayalam drama. Interestingly, the project which reportedly deals with a two-hero-subject, will have both Fahadh Faasil and another actor in the lead roles. Reportedly, Kishkindha Kaandam actor Asif Ali might join the team, after Tovino Thomas turned down the offer.
For the uninitiated, director Lal Jose confirmed that he is indeed reuniting with Fahadh Faasil for a new film. The untitled project is a movie adaptation of the popular Malayalam novel Ponam, written by KN Prasanth. The director also confirmed that the movie is a two-hero-film, which will be headlined by Fahadh Faasil, and another popular young actor. Tovino Thomas was initially approached to play one of the lead roles in the film. However, the actor had to turn down the offer, due to his busy schedule

If the recent updates are to be believed, the makers are currently in talks with Asif Ali, the popular actor who is currently on a high with the massive success of Kishkindha Kaandam, for the project. The talented actor is reportedly keen to join the team and is about to officially join the cast, soon. In that case, the project will mark Asif’s first collaboration with director Lal Jose, and his onscreen reunion with Fahadh Faasil, after a long gap.

Meanwhile, the grapevine suggests that the much-awaited project will be a bilingual film, which will be simultaneously made in Malayalam and Kannada. The movie, a movie adaptation of Ponam, is touted to be an action thriller film set in the backdrop of a forest village on the Kerala-Karnataka border. As per the reports, the project, which is made on a big scale, will be bankrolled by the famous Kannada production banner, Hombale Films.
