Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan team up for Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira; major update is out

Kalyani Priyadarshan has been roped in to playing the female lead in the upcoming Fahadh Faasil starrer Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira. The project is directed by Althaf Salim.

Fahadh Faasil, the National Award-winning actor is set to team up with young filmmaker Althaf Salim, for his next outing in Malayalam cinema. The project, which is touted to be a romantic comedy, has been titled Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira. Recently, Ashiq Usman, the producer of the project confirmed popular actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is roped in for the Fahadh Faasil starrer.

Kalyani Priyadarshan joins Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira

Recently, Ashiq Usman took to his official Instagram handle and dropped a selfie with Fahadh Faasil and director Althaf Salim. “Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira rolling soon,” the producer captioned his Instagram post, confirming that the project is set to roll soon. Interestingly, he also captioned the cast and crew members of the romantic comedy in his post, including Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is set to play the female lead.

The talented actress, on the other hand, shared Ashiq Usman’s post on her Instagram story, and confirmed that she is indeed a part of Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira. In that case, the comedy entertainer will mark Kalyani Priyadarshan’s first onscreen collaboration with both leading man Fahadh Faasil, and director Althaf Salim.

Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira is a rom-com

Earlier, OTT Play had exclusively reported that Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira is going to be the first out-and-out romantic comedy in the career of its leading man, Fahadh Faasil. In a chat with us, director Althaf Salim revealed that the film doesn’t have any dark elements in it, and the story is narrated with a touch of humour. For the unversed, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira marks the second outing of Althaf Salim as a director, after the Nivin Pauly starrer Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.

The cast and crew

Along with Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priydarshan, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira will feature actor-director Lal and Saiju Kurup, in the other pivotal roles. Justin Varghese composes the music score. Jinto George is the director of photography. Ashwini Kale handles the production design. The project is bankrolled by Ashiq Usman, under his hime banner Ashiq Usman Productions.
