Aavesham, the action-comedy film which features Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, is one of the most loved Indian films of 2024. The movie, directed by Jithu Madhavan, featured the National Award-winning actor as the celebrated character Ranga, a dreaded gangster. The movie emerged as Fahadh Faasil’s highest-grossing film to date and one of the biggest blockbusters of Malayalam cinema. According to the grapevine, Aavesham is now set to get a Telugu release soon, and Ravi Teja is expected to headline the project.

Ravi Teja to play the lead role in Aavesham Telugu remake?

If the latest reports are to be believed, Aavesham is now set to get a remake in Telugu, very soon. According to the grapevine, the remake rights of the Jithu Madhavan directorial have been bagged by the popular Telugu star, Ravi Teja. Even though it was initially speculated that senior superstar Balakrishna is playing Ranga in the Telugu remake, the rumours were later revealed to be false. The new updates suggest that Ravi Teja is not just producing the remake, but is also planning to play the lead role.

Aavesham: Here’s all you need to know

For the uninitiated, Aavesham depicts the story of three students named Aju, Bibi, and Shanthan, who join an engineering college in Bengaluru, Karnataka, for higher studies. After the trio is brutally ragged by senior student Kutty and his gang, they decide to befriend a local gangster to seek revenge. In the process, they meet Ranga, an eccentric yet golden-hearted Malayali-Kannadiga gangster, and his confidante Ambaan. Ranga’s arrival changes the trio’s lives forever.

Fahadh Faasil delivered one of the finest performances in his career as Ranga in the movie, while Sajin Gopu shined in the role of his right-hand Ambaan. Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavaz played the roles of Aju, Bibi, and Shanthan respectively in the film. Neeraja Rajendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Midhutty, Krishna Kumar, Freestyle Krishna, Sreejith Nair, Thankam Mohan, Pooja Mohanraj, Preeti Bharadwaj, and others in supporting roles.

Sushin Shyam composed the songs and original score for Aavesham. Sameer Thahir is the director of photography. The mass action-comedy film is produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed, under the banners Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Anwar Rasheed Entertainment.
