The most fabulous of Bollywood wives, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Kiran Sajdeh and Bhavana Panday returned for another stylish new season that offers a glimpse into their glamorous lives with Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives season 2. The show was however, witnessed its fair share of trolling as well. After Karan Johar, Neelam recently responded to the incessant trolling her show received.
In conversation with Pinkvilla, Neelam spoke of how proud she was of the show, despite the unpleasant things people said about it. She said that every project, be it a film or a show, would encounter its fair share of lovers and haters. The same applied to Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives as well.
Neelam said she felt grateful that the show was embraced by audiences. “All I can say is that we have attempted something, and it has been successful. We put ourselves out there and kudos to us”, she said.
Karan Johar, who is an executive producer on the show, also recently spoke of the immense success the series witnessed. Sharing a post about how the show featured in the top ten viewing lists across a number of countries, the filmmaker spoke of how he loved the four women and was proud of them as well. Karan accepted that there might be a lot of people who find the show ‘cringey’, ‘artificial’ and far from being intellectually stimulating, and addressed the amount of trolling the show was subject to. But despite it all, its validation lay in the fact that it had raked in a number of views across the globe.
The second season of the show also included appearances by Karan, Gauri Khan, Malaika Arora Arjun Kapoo, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Badshah, Bobby Deol, Jackie Shroff, Farah Khan Kunder, and Manish Malhotra, among others.
The first two seasons of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives are available for streaming on Netflix.
