Vijay Deverakonda made a comeback with the romantic drama Kushi. The songs and fresh pairing of Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were loved by the audience, and Kushi ended as an above-average fare at the box office. Shiva Nirvana directed this film which had music by Hesham Abdul Wahab.

Vijay is now busy wrapping up his new film Family Star which made headlines a few weeks ago as its release has been postponed. Right from the day the film went on floors, the makers were quite confident that the family drama would be out as Sankranthi special in January 2024.

Family Star locks new release date

The makers were racing against time and were busy wrapping up the shoot. But we at OTTplay reported that the shoot will not be wrapped up anytime soon and the film has been postponed. But now the latest news is that the makers have locked a new release date for the film. Family Star will now be out on April 5, 2024.

What's special is that NTR's Devera is all set to hit the screens on the same date of April 5. Now, news has come out that Devera might be postponed and that is the reason, Dil Raju, the producer of the film has locked April 5, 2024, as the release date. An official confirmation will be made soon by the makers.

Parasuram is the man behind the film and he is known to wrap up films in a quick manner. But as Family Star is getting delayed, the makers had no other choice but to postpone the film. But now the makers have locked the release date for this film which has Mrunal Thakur playing the female lead. The film was also in the news due to its OTT rights deal.
