The actor talked about his upcoming projects in an exclusive interview to OTTplay recently,
It’s been a milestone year for Unni Mukundan. The Mollywood actor, who completed a decade in the film industry in 2021, has already snapped up a bunch of exciting projects and also ventured into production with Meppadiyan and most recently, Shafeeqinte Santosham.
But that’s not all. With OTTs now attracting stars, Unni tells OTTplay exclusively that he will soon make his web series debut. “Right now, I have a mix of multilinguals and I am also looking forward to being part of a web series. We are in talks for that. I am awaiting the official confirmation and once that’s through, we will announce it,” says the actor.
Unni, who is also part of Ravi Teja’s Khiladi, will also be starring in his Telugu movie as the solo lead. “I have just finished Khiladi in Telugu. I have a pan-Indian Telugu movie coming up. It’s going to be my first solo action-entertainer, which will be helmed by Khiladi’s director Ramesh Varma. I have managed to crack that and I am excited about that,” says the actor.
The actor, meanwhile, will also be seen in two much-anticipated films in Malayalam – Jeethu Joseph’s 12th Man and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bro Daddy. Both films have Mohanlal in the lead. “It’s the first time I will be working with Lalettan (Mohanlal) in back-to-back projects,” says Unni, who had earlier worked with the superstar in the Telugu movie Janatha Garage.
Talking about his role in Bro Daddy, Unni tells us, “Bro Daddy is also the first time I am working with Raju (Prithviraj) as a director. Mine is a very crisp part. The experience of working with him has been nice. We had a great time while shooting for Bhramam and because I was also shooting in Hyderabad, where Bro Daddy is being filmed, he said it would be great if I could join the team.”
Unni is also part of Ek Din, in which he plays a cameo. The team of the movie had recently released the teaser of a track that he had sung in the film.
