The actress opens up on how working with Suneil Shetty and Vivek Oberoi amplified her performance.
National award-winning actress Sonali Kulkarni who played a pivotal part in the latest released web series titled Dharavi Bank that is starring Vivek Oberoi and Suniel Shetty - says she was almost in a marathon with these two powerful actors and opens up on how the energy of her co-stars translated in her performance too!
In the show, she narrates the character of a CM of the state named Janhvi Surve.
Sonali told OTTplay, " I think it was one of the very special shows where the world of Dharavi is shown as quite a male-dominated one and not many female characters are there in the narrative. It is basically a story between a dedicated police officer like JCP Jayant Gavaskar and a powerful man, a messiah of the Dharavi, Thalaivan. There, my character is holding a strong ground and giving these two larger-than-life personalities a tough time! It was quite interesting for me to play such a well-thought-out character."
"In a show like this where both my co-actors are so magnetic and delivered a such strong performance, it was like three of us was on a marathon and eventually we reached the finishing line under the guidance of our director Sumit Kakkad," added the actress earlier known for films like Taxi No. 9211, Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahta Hai among many others.
Set in the world's largest slum Dharavi, the show offered the audience a great deal of insight into Dharavi and the lives of people who are the dwellers of the area.
The show is getting positive responses and ratings from the audience and it shows a rating of 9.2 out of 10 on IMDb review.
Produced by Zee Studios, the show Dharavi Bank also stars Samiksha Bhatnagar, Freddy Daruwala, Luke Kenny, Chinmay Mandlekar, Hitesh Bhojraj among others. It is streaming on MX Player.
