With Mother's Day on May 14, actress Isha Talwar talks to us about her most "favourite person" in the world
Actress Isha Talwar has managed to make a space for herself with some celebrated shows like Home Sweet Office, Parchhayee, Mirzapur, and Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, which released recently.
The actress has also appeared in films like Kaalakaandi, Article 15, and Sharmaji Namkeen.
With Mother's Day around the corner, we asked Isha if she has any favourite films that she likes to watch with her mother.
"My mother would love for me to watch a few of her favourites, like Dev Anand's Guide, Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Jaya Bachchan-starrer Mili, and Phagun, with her over and over again. So, these films are on my to-watch list with her," Isha told OTTplay.
Speaking about her relationship with her mother, the actress added that even after all these years, she still has one habit that her mother still scolds her about.
"My mom still scolds me for being super messy because every time I leave home, all my clothes, jewellery, and makeup are scattered around my room. My mother keeps scolding me for not putting things back in their place," Isha, who plays Bijli in the web series Saas Baahu aur Flamingo, said with a chuckle.
Before making her Bollywood debut, Isha worked in various South Indian films in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
After appearing on television shows, she made her debut in films with the Malayalam movie Thattathin Marayathu. This is one film that Isha says is her mother's favourite because "that was my first one," she says.
Having begun her career from scratch, building it independently, Isha shared that she has imbibed one important quality from her mother, which has helped her find strength in tough times.
"My mother has a zest for life that is supreme. I definitely have that quality from her, and that is my strength," said the actress, who also believes that when it comes to food, no one can make better Rajma Chawal than her mother.
So, what makes her mother the happiest? "Whenever I go on long outdoor shoots, if I show up a day earlier, my mother's happiness knows no bounds. Nothing can match that happiness," said Isha.
