His web series Mr Kolketa was dropped on Hoichoi on September 8.
Ace actor Ritwick Chakraborty was in the UK for a long period over the past couple of months for shooting. First, he shot Aporichito with Joydeep Mukherjee. Along with Ritwick, it also has Ishaa Saha and Anirban Chakraborty. After a break of two weeks, he shot a film under the direction of Parambrata Chatterjee.
Meanwhile, his web series Mr Kolketa was dropped on Hoichoi on September 8. Talking about the show, Ritwick said, “The reason behind doing this show is purely personal. Since I work in serious stuff most of the time, my son does not get to watch anything I am in. I don’t allow him to watch content that is not suitable for his age. He complains. His schoolmates often watch films that he is not allowed to watch. Hence, when I heard the story of Mr Kolketa, I wanted to work in it for my son.”

Ritwick thinks that there is a dearth of content for young audiences. “Eken Babu is something that young viewers enjoy. My son watches that too. I think Mr Kolketa falls in that genre – something that is for the younger people,” he said with a smile.

Talking about Joydeep Mukherjee’s Aporichito, he said, “This was the first time I got to work with Anirban Chakrabarti. He is an ace actor and I am delighted to work with him.” It was a long stay in the UK for Ritwick. “After completing Joydeepda’s film, I came back for a few days and then travelled again to the UK for Parambrata’s film. Most of it is shot there. Just a few bits will be shot here. Yes, it was a long stay in that country this time,” the actor said.
Ritwick will be seen in the third season of Gora and another series which is yet to be disclosed.
