Valentine’s week is in full swing. While her friends have been posting about their baes and gifts, Rajnandini is simply single.
Rajnandini Paul is happily single and by her admission, is surely not looking for a relationship. Yet, she is singularly unhappy with her friends’ Instagram updates. Valentine’s week is in full swing. While her friends have been posting about their baes and gifts, Rajnandini is simply single.
“What to do? It is that time of the year,” said the actress. “I am happily single. I am working this Valentine’s Day. However, I am working and sulking on others’ Instagram Stories of chocolates and roses,” she joked.
Rajnandini is, however, focused on her work commitments. She will be seen in Chorki’s Lohu, the shooting of which is on hold. Besides, a series of her films will be released over the year. “I worked on a romcom by Sayantanda (Ghosal), who is known for his thrillers, mainly. After Sampurna, I am very happy that we could be in his romcom too,” she said.
Ranjandini, who started her acting career with Uranchandi, became a household name with her stellar performance in Hoichoi’s Sampurna in 2022. “I cannot disagree that Sampurna gave me a greater visibility. Forget Bengal, when I was shooting in London for a Bengali film, British Bengali young girls – both from Bangladesh and West Bengal – came up to me and mentioned the series. They did not know my name but they could identify me because they watched Sampurna. Our OTT shows are popular there,” she said.

Rajnandini believes that OTT has a wider reach. “While I think Sampurna would have been a hit even if it was a theatrical release, OTT has a wider reach. People know that and expect good stories from OTT. I take the script very seriously. When I say yes to a project, it is always the script and the scope I have in the projects become the decisive factors,” she said.
