The team, which had shot for the movie in Jordan last year, will return to the country to complete the remaining portions and also head to Algeria
Prithviraj Sukumaran isn’t an actor who is scared to go the whole nine yards for a character. For Blessy’s Aadujeevitham, however, he will have to go through the grind of losing weight and looking his leanest for the second time.
The movie’s shooting was halted last year after the worldwide pandemic lockdown that left the team stranded in Jordan just weeks into shoot and also without permission to complete everything they had initially planned. Now, the makers are planning to resume the shoot in February 2022.
In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, Blessy tells us, “We are currently in the middle of planning the schedules. We haven’t finalised the dates yet, but the plan is to begin shooting in February. We will first head to Jordan and then Algeria.”
The filmmaker confirms that Prithviraj will shed weight again to resume playing the character of Najeeb in the movie, based on Benyamin’s eponymous novel. “Prithviraj will join the team from the start of this schedule. Though he will have to lose weight again, the schedule is also planned in a way that it doesn’t affect the continuity of the movie,” says the award-winning director.
Last year due to the pandemic restrictions, a Hollywood actor, who was to play a major character, was unable to join the team during their schedule in Jordan. However, Blessy confirms that the actor will be part of the upcoming schedule. He, however, tells us that he doesn’t want to reveal who the Hollywood actor is.
The movie’s production will conclude after the shoot in Jordan and Algeria. “In India, we just have a few shots that will be shown as tail-end portions. That’s all,” he says. The movie, which also has Amala Paul, has music composed by AR Rahman and is planned to be released in multiple languages.
