Exclusive! Poonam Pandey confirms getting Bigg Boss offers, reveals why she chose Lock Upp

Poonam Pandey is the third confirmed contestant on Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming show, Lock Upp. The model-actress, who has been a part of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 4, back when Akshay Kumar was still hosting the show, was also offered Bigg Boss on various occasions. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, the actress confirmed the news. She also revealed why she chose to make her reality show debut with Lock Upp.

We asked Poonam if she was offered Bigg Boss (hosted by Salman Khan) after Khatron Ke Khiladi (currently hosted by Rohit Shetty) since most contestants are a part of both the reality shows. The actress then shared, “I did Khatron when I was 19-year-old. I was a kid, literally and I was hanging around the chopper. I have got the offers for other reality shows but what excited me was Lock Upp because this is so different. (Excitedly) I’m gonna be in Lock Upp, yay!”

Using wordplay, Poonam added, “Being in a Lock Upp is in itself a ‘fear factor’. It’s a task in itself. It’s a small room. It’s a small jail. There is no luxury.”

The actress shared that like shown in the promos, the contestants will actually be in a jail-like setup and keeping the concept in mind, they might not even have a bed. “There is nothing, to the extent that we might have to sleep on the floors. This is actually going to be a tough one. So, yeah, I’m looking forward,” Poonam shared.

The model recalled what she has been through in her last relationship, which was a marriage with her boyfriend Sam Bombay. Hinting about the tough times she had, Poonam quoted, “I’ve had a lot of tough times in my life. I have gone through so much with my relationships. I think I can pull this off.”

Poonam Pandey is a sensuous actress who has often been stirred up in a lot of controversies. Her marriage also turned into a controversy after she accused Sam of physically abusing her. Poonam filed a police complaint against her husband and was hospitalized as well.
