Shataf Figar, who started his journey in Bengal, has explored the pan-Indian entertainment industry in the last few years. The actor worked across the country in films, including Shershaah, Love Aaj Kal, Gaslight, and others. He collaborated with Vishal Bhardwaj in Khufiya and Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley. Now he is all geared up for his next release, Operation Valentine. The film, which is shot in Hindi and Telugu, also features Varun Tej and Manushi Chillar.

Recently, Operation Valentine’s pre-launch event was hosted in Hyderabad, where Shataf met megastar actor Chiranjeevi. “He was there as the chief guest and his presence itself encouraged me a great deal,” said Shataf. In his speech, Chiranjeevi encouraged the actor and welcomed him once again to the Telugu industry.

“I followed his speech and this is what he said: ‘It is encouraging to see strong, dynamic characters coming to our industry.’ He further appreciated my look and said that I have a strong personality. He also said that I remind him of Danny Denzongpa. His encouraging words are priceless for me,” said the actor, who also shared his photo with the veteran actor on his social media. Along with the photo, he wrote, “A moment that will be cherished forever. @chiranjeevikonidela Garu thank you for your love, blessings, and kind words.”

Shataf is currently in Mumbai and will travel to London for a Hindi political thriller that he is working on. “But I will soon be back in Kolkata. I will start working with Arindamda (Sil) in Mitin Mashi,” said the actor.

Arindam is all set to start shooting Ekti Khunir Sondhane – the third film from the Mitin Mashi franchise, in March. This film will be based on Suchitra Bhattacharya’s Megher Pore Megh. Along with the director, Padmanabha Dasgupta is working on the script. Shataf will play a key character. He was last seen in Chengiz, with Jeet in Bengal.
