The Lock Upp winner also said that he wouldn't want to make the extra efforts to be friends with Payal Rohatgi.
When one traces the journey of Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui back, they would see how his convincing power has been his strongest point in getting close to the trophy. However, that is not the case for him when it comes to Payal Rohatgi. While talking to OTTplay, Munawar specifically mentioned that he doesn’t have the convincing power to let Payal believe that they can be friends.
Munawar and Payal were constantly competing on Lock Upp and it went to the extent that they did not like each other. Munawar even clearly stated that on the day before the grand finale, when the top six finalists were actually getting to know each other – their true selves – with jailor Karan Kundrra and warden Tejasswi Prakash.
Although Munawar said that he doesn’t like Payal, he has appreciated her for being a professional on his first Instagram live since he won Lock Upp. Munawar even asked his fans not to send hate for Payal.
When we asked Munawar if there was ever a scope that he and Payal could be friends, he said, “Payal has cleared that she doesn't have or like friends. I don't have the convincing power to change her mind.”
Further, the comedian said, “I wouldn't want to put those efforts too but you never know.” He was, obviously hinting at the question that his fans asked during the live session. The question was – will he ever work on a music video with Payal? Munawar had replied with an affirmative and added that Payal is a thorough professional and so, if the music video makes sense and isn’t romantic, then he would definitely work in a music video with Payal.
Munawar even went back on his statement made at Lock Upp as he told us, “I don't hate or dislike anybody. In the end, it's all good.”
