Exclusive! Montu Pilot actor Saurav Das: High chances of a third season after the success of the first two

While talking to OTTPlay exclusively, Saurav Das explained how the series has changed his life and career as an actor.

Hoichoi original series Montu Pilot has all the right spices – action, drama, romance and thrill. After its successful first season in 2019, the second season that was dropped recently has also gained momentum. While talking to OTTPlay exclusively, the lead actor Saurav Das explained how the series has changed his life and career as an actor.

“After the success of the first season, I was under a little pressure before the release of the new one. However, now that it has also clicked, I am relieved and very happy. While there has been no official announcement yet, there is a high chance that we will have a third season after the success of the first two,” he said.

Talking about success, Saurav also said, “I have always believed that the release day changes your life. I have really worked hard before and I will keep on working hard for each of my projects. But the success of the second season has really been a game-changer in my career. From the look of the career to building the body and focussing on acting – I really worked hard for this role. I gave up a national project with ZEE5 for the second season since I had to chop off my hair. I am very happy that it worked the way we wanted it to. Not only in Kolkata, but Montu is popular in the smaller towns also. I have been touring West Bengal ever since the release and I saw how people readily identify me as the character. It is an intense character with grey shades and I think that got etched in people’s minds.”

Montu Pilot is directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya and is streaming on Hoichoi. Besides Saurav, the second season features Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Chandreyee Ghosh, Subrata Dutta, Alivia Sarkar and others.
