Exclusive: Mithun to give a miss, while Rukmini to join Dev in Dance Dance Junior season 3

The audition for Dance Dance Junior season 3 is in full swing to select the top participants. Meanwhile, as per sources, actress Rukmini Maitra is all set to join the judges' squad for the third season along with her beau Dev. Meanwhile, Mithun Chakraborty, who sat on Mahaguru's chair last year, will give this season a miss. Monami Ghosh will continue with this season too. Dev, Rukmini and Monami shot the promotional video on Saturday. The channel, however, is tightlipped about the celebrity quotient of the show.

The previous season of Dance Dance Junior was earlier judged by Mithun, Dev and Monami. The interactions between Mahaguru Mithun and young host Laddu, aka Soumyodipta Saha, added value to the show and the duo became a popular pair. This year, while the judges are geared up for the promo shoot, the channel has not revealed the host names as of now.

As per sources, the channel, Star Jalsha, wished to continue with Mithun. However, the actor decided to take a break. Meanwhile, Mithun will soon be seen in a film with Dev in Avijit Sen’s Projapoti. Billed as a father-son drama, Dev will be seen as the son of the veteran actor. Mithun will soon come to Kolkata for the shooting. The film will also mark a comeback for Mithun and Mamata Shankar pair 46 years after they worked in Mrinal Sen’s Mrigayaa. That was the debut of Mamata Shankar on the big screen.

Meanwhile, Dev and Rukminihave recently worked in Kishmish after Rukmini’s debut Bollywood venture Sanak with Vidyut Jamwal.
