Munawar Faruqui went up to Anjali Arora and told her he did not want to cross a line with her.
Almost as soon as Lock Upp began, two names were linked to each other – that was Munawar Faruqui and Anjali Arora. Fans started trending MunJali despite both the kaidis confirming that they are only friends. While the two said that they are only friends, Anjali did fall for Munawar for a brief period. He, however, maintained that he has someone in the outside world (who we now know as his ‘Bubby’ Nazila).
During the grand finale episode, Munawar even ended up telling Anjali that there was a line which he did not want to cross with her. He then added that he is happy that they maintained their boundaries.
We asked Munawar to explain his statement and he said, “In any relation, there is a boundary and line that shouldn't be crossed because there are other people who are in your life and such a thing could affect that person.”
Of course, Munawar was talking about Nazila and Anjali’s own boyfriend. She has been dating a boy named Akash and her family is also aware about their relationship.
“It was important for me and Anjali to understand that. We did and I'm happy about it,” Munawar told us.
The MunJali trend went viral on social media till most of Lock Upp season 1. Munawar and Anjali were strong friends till the very last week of the show, when Anjali played her game and that made Munawar upset. Seeing his behaviour, Anjali also got upset with the comedian.
Right before the incident, troublemaker Prince Narula has also made Munawar and Anjali promise that their MunJali should end with the game, especially since they have a partner outside the show. He said that they could be something if they were single but since they are not, the two should do everything in their capacity not to hurt their partners.
