The movie, directed by Godfy Babu, also has Nivetha Thomas as part of the cast
One of the highlights of debutant director Godfy Babu’s family entertainer Enthada Saji is that it brings back the duo of Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya together after a gap. The duo, who have starred in superhits such as Swapnakoodu and Gulumaal, will be sharing screen space after Shajahanum Pareekuttyum.
In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, Jayasurya talked about his role in the movie, which also marks the comeback of Nivetha Thomas. The film had gone on floors in April 1 in Thodupuzha and Jayasurya has completed shooting his portions for the feel-good film that revolves around “the struggles and joys in the daily lives of people in a village”.
Those wanting to see Jayasurya and Kunchacko sharing screen space for a lengthy time in a film, though, will have to wait longer. “I play a friendly appearance in Enthada Saji. I did because of my relationship with Listin and Chackochan. I had only shot for about eight days for the movie,” Jayasurya tells us.
Though his role might be short, it’s sure to create an impact. In an earlier interview with us, Kunchacko had talked about how his friendship with Jayasurya – both on and off screen – have worked wonders.
"I think our real-life and reel-life friendships help a lot. Even when I had stayed away from the industry for a while, the friendships remained. So, the films we did and we didn’t, also contribute to that camaraderie we share," Kunchacko Boban said, adding that they friendship has seen ups and down and still moved forward.
Enthada Saji is also the only film that Jayasurya had shot for this year. The actor, whose next release in Abhijith Joseph’s investigative thriller John Luther, is gearing up the 3D fantasy-thriller Kathanar, which is helmed by Rojin Thomas. The film is set to go on floors soon.
